In South Jutland you will find Denmark's most beautiful and contrasting nature. The hilly terrain protects wetlands, forests, river valleys, dunes, lakes and much more. And in the middle of it all is Sinatur's Hotel Haraldskær: A natural white manor house with shiny red bricks and green approaches. The hotel is beautifully located by Vejle Fjord, so there is both a good opportunity to relax from the busy everyday life and enjoy the distinctive surroundings.
Hotel Haraldskær is run on the premise that guests and nature must be treated in the best possible way. So when you step through the door, you can look forward to a distinctive experience on nature's terms. This means, among other things, that all the food you consume comes from the local area: mushrooms from Haraldskærskov, cheese from Elmegaarden and chickens from Hopballe Mill. Subsequently, the natural residues are put in the compost or thrown out to the pigs. This is how you get the best of the surrounding nature – and give back the excess. In this way, nothing is wasted, and everything is re-entered into nature's giving cycle. At the same time, Hotel Haraldskær also works to ensure that we can continue to welcome our guests in the fresh air. We are constantly trying to reduce our CO2 footprint, for example by consolidating all purchases and having goods delivered fewer times and using only green electricity. Our goal is to become CO2 positive by 2030. So take an overnight stay with a conscience in the light of Hotel Haraldskær's green approach.
Loud noises and disturbing light sources can easily cause a restless night's sleep. That is why Hotel Haraldskær has kept all the rooms in calm shades and with nature as the nearest neighbour. Here there is no traffic noise or hazard flashes – only bird whistles and the sound of the swaying of the trees. It is essential to be able to retreat completely to a peaceful setting, so that time can stand still and the moment can be enjoyed to the fullest. Our rooms are all equipped with enchanting beds that invite you to sleep's dreamy net, all while the rippling waters of Vejle Ådal wish you a good night.
Sinaturs Hotel Haraldskær is not just any hotel in Vejle – it is a hotel whose walls can bear witness to some of the greatest events in Danish history. The white manor house and the vaulted cellars date back to the year 1434. This means that Sinatur's restored manor house has experienced Danish development at close quarters over the years: Here, reformations, renaissances, conquests and world wars have raged corpses outside the front door. Haraldskær Manor is therefore part of Danish history, and you will be able to see the past in many of the hotel's small nooks and crannies, where more than 40 different owners have left their mark on the fantastic building over the years.
Hotel Haraldskær is located right where the beech forests paint the slopes green. Here, Grejsdalen and Vejle Ådal meander through the landscape and offer good opportunities for beautiful walks and historical cycling adventures. Here you will find, among other things, the old Ravning Bridge from the Viking Age, the beautiful Vork Hills, the historic Ancient Road, the cozy Deer Park, the well-known Egtved Girl grave and the colorful Frederikshåb Plantation. It is therefore no joke that Vejle Ådal as an area is called Denmark's nature park.
At the same time, Hotel Haraldskær is just a few kilometres from Vejle, where there is plenty of opportunity to explore the lively city centre and the old, beautiful buildings. You can also easily explore the somewhat smaller towns such as the station town of Børkop, the cozy Egtved town or Jelling, which is first and foremost famous for the old Danish Jelling stones.
Haraldskær Sinatur Hotel & Konference is a few minutes' drive from Vejle city and the E45 motorway. In just a 25-minute drive, you reach Denmark's second largest airport in Billund.
