Porridge is more than boring sticky oatmeal, and since a young entrepreneur opened Denmark's first porridge bar in Nørrebro in Copenhagen in 2011 with the well-chosen name Grød, the phenomenon has spread, and porridge has today become a "smart" food.
Together with one of our skilled chefs, you can learn more about porridge and learn how to make porridge that is both delicious, delicate and versatile. The porridge is naturally cooked over the warming flames of the fire.
The porridge is made from the old grains from Gyldenlund near Give, organic and seasonal vegetables and smoked cheese from Elmegården near Haderslev. You cook the porridge on broth.
When the porridge is ready, you enjoy it in front of the fire pit at the Orangery. If it gets too cold, you can warm up under the blankets or pull inside.
