We hereby cancel the competition

We fight over the same things. But we do it separately. What if we fought together? If we cancelled the competition in the industry and sat down together around a table and started talking about solutions?

We are used to competing to offer the most delicious stays, the best conferences, to have the most qualified employees and, not least, to see who can become the greenest in the shortest time. But we are convinced that this is the wrong strategy.

We all have the same challenges. Both in terms of the climate, but also in terms of making our industry a much more attractive place to be for people. What if we made it a joint battle? What if we decided to share our experiences - good and bad? What would happen to our industry?

Our industry is one of the largest industries in Denmark and with that comes a responsibility. We have a responsibility to raise the bar so that we can create impact together. We have a responsibility to make it easy for our guests to make more sustainable choices and to give our employees a sustainable everyday life. But it will be faster if we open up. If we get everyone to the table to talk about how we can create new experiences for our guests, new ways of doing business, and new ways of treating our employees.

Of course, these are big questions to ask, but in fact, the answers are just around the corner. Together with a number of colleagues in the industry, we have founded Moving Hospitality, which is a competition-free space where we see each other as partners rather than competitors.

We share not only the desire for change, but also the belief that through collaboration and constructive conversations, we can become much better at attracting and retaining new generations of talented colleagues and at accelerating the green transition. If we work together, share knowledge and set new standards, we can create a huge impact. At Moving Hospitality, we have therefore decided that we will, among other things, exchange experiences, help suppliers to more climate-friendly operations and production, create more transparency in relation to labelling and certification schemes, create attractive workplaces and a lot of other things. And of course, we would like to get even more people from the industry involved, so that we can do more. In any case, you are hereby invited.
