An honest insight into our work with responsibility and progress

In 2025, we at Sinatur Hotel & Konference will publish our ESG Impact Report for the second time – a report that takes stock of our work with sustainability and responsibility, and documents how we as a company work to create positive change.

Since we chose to use the ESG framework actively in our strategic work in 2023, it has been clear how it creates a common direction – internally as well as externally. ESG is not just an abbreviation for us, but an integrated approach to how we do business with respect for people, nature and society.

This year's report has been prepared on the basis of the EU's CSRD directive and the associated ESRS standards, which we have chosen to be inspired and challenged by. This has given us a new professional depth and created the basis for both our documentation and development. The report also forms the basis for our 2024 Communication on Progress report to the UN Global Compact.

Sustainability as a business strategy

At Sinatur, we have worked with responsibility since our establishment as a hotel chain in 2007. Back then, presence, nature and gastronomy were our core values. Today, they have become the foundation of our way of doing business – not as a parallel track, but as the strategy itself.

We believe that companies have an obligation to create value – not only economically, but also socially and environmentally. Therefore, we work on the basis of the B Corp principles, and our goal is to balance profit with purpose.

Results and reflection

The report contains both concrete data, efforts and reductions – and the dilemmas and choices we have faced along the way. We have achieved significant results, not least in our climate accounts, where we have reduced our total CO2e footprint by more than 35% since 2019 - corresponding to almost 2,700 tonnes of CO2e in total for the period 2019-2024.

It's about people

All this is only possible thanks to our employees. Their commitment, professionalism and willingness to create change is the reason why we can present a report full of progress today. We are proud to stand on the shoulders of a culture where responsibility is something we do together.

The report is a starting point – not a conclusion

While we are pleased with the results we can document, we see the ESG Impact Report as a milestone – not a finish line. For us, sustainability is not about finishing, but about becoming wiser.

We hope that the report provides insight, inspiration and perhaps even the courage to also take the next step towards a more responsible future.
