Our Green Profile

Sinatur as a responsible company

It is crucial for us to run hotel and conference venues in a way that does not overexploit nature, but on the contrary find solutions that respect nature and help it flourish again.

Since Sinatur was established as a hotel chain in 2007, we have worked with the following initiatives, which have been based on our core values of presence, gastronomy and nature, and which have also been the starting point for our ambitious strategy to run hotels on nature's terms

We have chosen to do everything we can every day to give more back to nature and each other than we take, therefore Sinatur wants to be part of something bigger but a small part of the climate account.

ESG Impact Report for Sinatur Hotel & Konference

ESG Impact Report for Sinatur Hotel & Konference

In Sinatur's ESG Impact Report 2023, we take stock of our journey towards running hotels on nature's terms. The ESG Impact Report has been prepared in the same spirit as we run our six hotels – with a desire to constantly learn and inspire the world around us. This means that we must be honest about the things we are in doubt about and the things that are difficult.

In the report, we reflect on our ambitions and document our responsible business operations, now guided by the EU's new reporting directive, CSRD. We share insights into how our core values – presence, nature and gastronomy – have shaped our work and results, and how this approach has been the foundation of our business strategy.

Discover how our commitment to sustainability and responsibility has translated into tangible results, and how our dedicated employees have been the driving force behind this success. Read on and get an insight into our continued journey towards becoming an even more responsible hotel chain.

1. We only buy Danish food

1. We only buy Danish food

We buy our food from suppliers who are located as close to our hotels as possible – without compromising on quality.

2. All products are certified and from sustainable companies

2. All products are certified and from sustainable companies

An important and often overlooked part of the hotel industry's draw on the earth's resources is the products we ourselves and our guests consume. Therefore, we have decided that all products must be certified and come from sustainable companies. This is the best guarantee that the environmental impact is as small as possible.

3. We take responsibility for biodiversity

3. We take responsibility for biodiversity

All Sinatur hotels have a vegetable garden where we experiment with growing food for use in our restaurants. And we will take greater responsibility for the part of food production that is not self-produced.

4. We are waste-free, we reuse and recycle everything

4. We are waste-free, we reuse and recycle everything

Through our purchasing and operations, Sinatur will ensure that the products we consume can be included in either the biological or the technical cycle. We sort the waste that is not part of direct recycling or recycling systems so that it can be used for the production of new products. A good example is that we require our suppliers that all packaging must be recyclable.

5. We are climate positive

5. We are climate positive

We work continuously and ambitiously to reduce energy consumption from the operation of the hotels. We want to be climate positive and bind more
CO2 than we emit.

6. We use water wisely

7. We are an inspiring, diverse and inclusive workplace that our employees are happy and proud of

Sinatur also works for social sustainability. Our basic view is that all people have a role to play and a place to occupy in the big picture. We respect each other as colleagues, and we give those who want to and share our love for nature the opportunity to contribute and make a difference.

8. We share our enthusiasm

8. We share our enthusiasm

We want to be nature's mouthpiece, create awareness and invite action. We want to inspire both guests, suppliers and partners in the local area to share our joy of nature.
