Sinatur focuses on the many dilemmas involved in working ambitiously with sustainability and being a responsible company. We have been on the journey for many years, and we want to share our experiences, challenges, concerns and victories with the outside world to inspire even more people to start taking responsibility for the world they are a part of.
Of course, we don't think so. At Sinatur Hotel & Conference, we recognize that our industry has a major impact on the environment, but at the same time, we firmly believe in the importance of meeting – both for business and pleasure. That's why we strive to transform our modes of operation to ensure that we can continue to offer valuable meeting places in a responsible way that don't overexploit nature.

At Sinatur, we believe that the green transition requires more than just internal changes. We believe that real change happens through strong partnerships and a focus on sustainability together. Let's challenge the conventional approach and see how we, together with our suppliers, create a bigger positive impact and inspire real change.
At Sinatur Hotel & Conference, we want to show that extraordinary taste experiences and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. We have removed dishes from our menu and replaced them with sustainable alternatives that our guests do not yet know they will love. We have done this because we take our ambition to run a hotel and conference on nature's terms seriously.
Behind this bold step is our ambitious gastronomic code. Here, we continuously reduce our CO2 footprint, minimize food waste, serve more vegetables and less meat, and support our local suppliers. We believe that our culinary innovations are not just a taste experience, but also a path towards a greener future.
In our industry, we are constantly competing for everything from the most delicious stays, the best conferences to who can become the most green in the shortest time. What if we instead got together and cancelled the competition? Maybe that's a wild question to ask? But in fact, the answer is just around the corner, because together with a number of our colleagues, we have founded Moving hospitality, which is a competition-free space where we together will develop and change the industry so that we remain relevant in the future. The question is whether we can become more and thus do more.
There are things we don't serve to you at our hotels because they come from far away and we want to take the climate into account. So far so good. However, the slightly annoying truth about these kinds of decisions not to serve orange juice and bananas to our guests is that it affects us who make the choice in a positive way, because we save a lot of CO2 in connection with shipping, among other things. But elsewhere in the world, our decision negatively affects people. For the people who make a living from growing oranges and bananas, and for those who make a living from picking them, it is not the best decision.
The question is, do we not also have a responsibility for them if we really want to be responsible and drive the world in a more sustainable and just direction?
Let's face it – we're very ambitious. Both when it comes to creating good and professional hotels. But also when it comes to running a responsible business that is both good for the people who work here, and for the climate and nature.
Sometimes we ask ourselves if we are perhaps a little too ambitious, because we set a lot of things in motion. Most of them become something, and we succeed with them. Others are ideas that, after hard work, turn out not to be the right ones. But we have decided to be open and honest about what we do.
And as you can see here, there are actually quite a few that start as a good idea and actually end up becoming reality. And to a success. So we actually think we can allow ourselves to say that what we do actually makes a big difference. And it makes us want to do even more. Here you can see some of the central cornerstones that have made us really move.
After all, there is no finish line when it comes to responsibility. Not even at Sinatur. Because when it comes to our work for nature, we keep going.
In reality, we do it for the sake of all of us – also for future generations. And we do it for nature's sake, so we can help it flourish.
It shouldn't be able to fly, but it does anyway. We don't have a list of answers, so we just keep acting as responsibly as possible.
At Sinatur, we would rather offer alternatives than introduce bans. We want to show that sustainable ambitions and consideration for nature do not have to mean deprivation and boring food on the plates.
At Sinatur, we have not stopped working to be sustainable, but we would rather talk about our responsibility towards nature. We all have a responsibility to contribute to giving back to nature more than what we take, which is why we run hotels on nature's terms.
What weighs heaviest? Organic or local ingredients? We love organics! And we know that raw materials that have been allowed to grow at their own pace and without pesticides are also the absolute best for nature. But we will not prioritize ecology at any price.
