Can your company really save the world all by itself?

Perhaps the following statement will provoke some: But we do not believe that the green transition will make any difference at all if we are concerned with only measuring the transition of our own business. So it is said. We have long since realized that we will not get far without a strong collaboration with our suppliers.

When we as companies try to be the best and win, it is our claim that we do not always have the right conversations. We cannot just measure ourselves and each other on ambitious CO2 reduction targets, which have almost become the holy grail. Or rely on new reporting standards. That approach worries us. Because what good is it to come first if you are the only one over the finish line?

It is good to have concrete goals we can work towards, but we believe that we need to broaden our horizons and have a greater focus on what we can accomplish together.

We must continue to be good at reducing and minimizing. But we must not forget to also optimize and expand. We must make our positive imprint bigger. By this we mean that we sometimes forget to also talk about more than the green goals and how we can become better at inspiring and sharing knowledge.

We believe that we need to look much more at what imprint we leave on each other and how we can help each other to make a difference together instead of focusing so much on coming first.

We have long since realized that we will not get far without a strong collaboration with our suppliers. That the goals we are to achieve will be achieved together with them. We do this, for example, through our Supplier Code of Conduct, where we ensure that our suppliers are prepared to work with us to develop better products, ensure more CO2-saving transport, create more environmentally friendly packaging and better conditions and opportunities for the people who produce the goods we buy.

Those who want to join, we help them as best we can. We should not just push orders and requirements down the system and leave it to our suppliers to figure it out. We want to help those who have the will and desire to move on the green goals and create a better world.

We are happy to share our experiences

And we are already well underway with many exciting collaborations with, among others, Dansk Cater, Peter Larsen Kaffe, Kaffe Bueno, Tekstilia, Houe and Papirværk.
