'Perhaps the world's most important cycling race'

In week 34 , members from Soroptimist International Denmark cycle around the country for the 5th time, to raise money for the good cause. This is done in close collaboration with Sinatur Hotel & Conference, which donates DKK 100 cyclist.
Every year, several school classes, cycling clubs, exercisers and Burkina Faso enthusiasts choose to cycle along to make a difference for the benefit of school meals for children in Burkina Faso's poor Sahel region.

Pedal and support a good cause

On Saturday 17 August, the starting signal will be sounded for this year's MtW on wheels, Denmark's most important cycling race. The bike race stretches over 8 days, where we pass all 6 Sinatur hotels, and is organized in a collaboration between Sinatur Hotel & Konference and Soroptimist International Denmark.

The bike race is part of the Stop Hunger Foundation's fundraising for the benefit of school meals and schooling in Burkina Faso. A project that Sinatur has also supported in previous years.

We hope that we can help gather a large group of people who want to cycle a distance of their choice for the good cause. Sinatur donates DKK 100 per participant in the bike race to the Stop Hunger Foundation.

Soroptimist International

Soroptimist International's clubs in Denmark have - through the 'Moving the World to End Hunger' (MtW) initiative - since 2012 collected close to DKK 2.5 million and contributed to school feeding programs in Burkina Faso. Several new initiatives - such as 'MtW on Wheels' - provide increased financial contribution and spread awareness of WFP and the School Feeding Programme as well as Soroptimist International as an organisation.
